About the project

If we miss knowledge, we can study.

If we miss skills, we can practice.

But if we miss the attitude, it's another story.

Attitudes are the most difficult competencies to improve, they are rooted in the character of people, in their life experiences, in the education and in the primary and secondary socialization; they are habits connected to our daily interaction with others, to our culture and with the individual ways of seeing the world and the relationships.

Sometimes people are aware of their behaviours, many other times they are not fully aware of them but they have the sense of them, other times they do not have any kind of awareness of taking on behaviours that sabotage their interactions with others or, in general, their daily successes and consequently, also the quality of their work.

Aggressiveness, conflictual or rancorous approaches, insecurity, low personal esteem, research of approval, passivity, apathy, rigidity, individualism, impulsivity, pessimism, surrender, victimhood are just some of the attitudes that sabotage the creation of positive results and profitable collaborations.

Reframe my attitude is a personal development program that provides opportunities for volunteers, young leaders or youth workers active in a Non-Governmental Organization* to understand where their behaviours are rooted, what needs they hide and how they are impacting their professional and personal life. The program provides self-coaching tools that the participants can use to unlock wider understandings of themselves and on the way they function. This allows them to transform their attitudes in a way that brings more successes and fulfilment in what they do and while interacting with people in different contexts.

Reframe my attitude gives you the chance to identify your automatic reactions, understand them and develop more efficient ways of responding to events and interacting with people.

* we mean people who are involved in the organization of the activities of an NGO regularly over time (ex. every day, once a week, a number of weekend per year, every year during a summer camp, every Christmas in fundraising activities)
